According to the National Tourism Agency, residents work in agriculture, livestock, and trade. That is the base of the local table — not frozen folklore but a living economy, even without a published inventory of produce.

What is documented

Two dishes carry an official name: goat meat, sac-baked or spit-roasted, and rakia. That is what the source says, and that is what we say.

What has not been established

Hillside olives, a weekly market, and gliko circulate in travel writing, but no official source ties them to Këlcyrë. Gliko is documented for Përmet, with a Slow Food Presidium for the product — not for our town.
