The blog claims
Unofficial travel guides claim that “8 to 10 karst springs” sit at Uji i Zi, that they “form a small lake”, or they give figures for colour, depth, temperature, and volume. None of these is supported by any official source.
No official scientific record or water-safety assessment exists beyond its listing as a natural spring. That is why this portal does not guarantee drinkable water and does not recommend drinking without current local guidance.
Not the Blue Eye
The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) is an entirely different karst spring with a discharge of 18,400 L/s, located at the village of Muzinë in Finiq municipality (Vlorë County), near Delvinë and Sarandë. It is the source of the Bistricë river, has been dived to 50 metres without reaching the bottom, and has been a Natural Monument since 1996.
Uji i Zi in Këlcyrë is not the Blue Eye and is not in the same region. The two karst springs are routinely conflated in searches because their names trade in blue and black water. No other “Blue Eye” is mentioned here, because none was verified for this piece.
